Hello all. It’s been a pretty slow month or two over here and we’ve been slacking a bit. To make up for it, we’ve added a bunch of new vinyl in our distro store for you listening pleasure:
- Bipolar Bear – “Tough Boat” LP limited to 165 hand-numbered copies. A few new songs and some live tracks. We have about 10.
- Expo ’70 – “Psychosis” LP limited to 500 copies with awesome silk-screened poster and amazing packaging on 180 gram vinyl. Sick space escapades.
- Factums – “The Sistrum” LP is back in stock. This is the second pressing of this neo-punk-noise band’s second album. So good.
- Movie Star Junkies – “the Junk Years” LP of early farm house recordings. Don’t let the name fool you, these tracks are amazing French punk from these prolific bastards. I think we may be the only people in the US that have this…
- Naked on the Vague – “Chitty Chat” 7″ on Sacred Bones. Awesome Australian dark-synth punkers return for a quick and dirty 2-song 7″.
- Nice Face – “Mnemonic Device” 7″ on Sacred bones. The perfect follow up to their killer 7″ on Hozac, Nice Face bring their Residents-style synth pop back to vinyl again.
- The Rebel – “Northern Rocks Bear Weird Vegetable” LP from Ben Waller of the Country Teasers. This is absolutely one of our favorites LP’s of 2008. You MUST own this.
- Timmy’s Organism – “Squeeze the Giant” 2X7″ on Sacred Bones. Human Eye frontman and Clone Defects mastermind Timmy Vulgar busts out a double-seven-inch of madness.
- Zola Jesus – “Soeur Sewer” 7″ on Sacred Bones. Sick psych-wave piano noise madness from this Madison, WI native.
OK, not that we’re done with that, just thought we’d let you know that The Pink Noise’s “Graffiti Youth” LP left for the pressing plant. Got the jacket proofs and they look awesome. I’m expecting the test-pressing this week. Only a few more weeks before this guy shows up!

After that, I’m not sure what’s happening. We have about 6 things lined up, so whichever artist wraps up the fastest gets pressed next! Here’s a sneak preview in no particular order:
- Bipolar Bear / Hiroshima Rocks Around – Split LP
- Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin – “Reverse Shark Attack” LP
- The Uphill Gardeners – TBD CD
- Flight – TBD 10″
- Dan Melchior – TBD 10″
There’s so much more, but some of it is still in the works. I’ll post as we know more, but just know that it’s super exciting stuff that we are really pumped on.
