Cheveu Cheveau LP 0

Just in:

  • Cheveu LP “Cheveau” - From Permanent Records in Chicago, Metz, France’s Cheveu is back with their 2nd full-length album. Taken from compilations, demos, singles and out-takes, “Cheveau” is a perfect mish-mash of the band’s quirky electro-infused blues punk. Don’t be fooled and think that this is just a leftovers album… it’s a work unto itself.

Enfant Terrible and Mexican Summer Distro! 0

Alright all, we have a large slew of new distro items that are on their way and are slowly trickling in. The first batch is probably the one I am most excited about since it includes some stuff from my favorite (ahem) band and one of my favorite labels:

Thanks to Martijn at Enfant Terrible for sending this stuff out. By the way, most of this stuff is TERRIBLY limited and we happen to have gotten the last copies of the ASG 12″ and the Scorpion Violente/Dreams 7″. Sorry for the high prices, but these came a long way. As for the BPB LP prices, it’s because of the high-quality grammage of vinyl and the MP3 downloads.

In other news, the Bipolar Bear/ hiroshima Rocks Around split 12″ should be done within a few more weeks. For those of you in Europe, you can pick up all of our releases (including the newest ones) from X-Mist. Also, the Ty Segall & Mikal Cronin “Reverse Shark Attack” LP was sent of to the plant this week. You’ll want to get one of those because they’re already halfway gone and the pressing plant hasn’t even received them yet! Very different from Ty’s solo stuff, the Epsilons or Charlie and the Moonhearts. More gnarly, heavy and waaaay dirtier.

Check back shortly to find new distro items from tons of labels, a lot European stuff from AVANT!, Rock is Hell, Dirtnap, Canadian stuff from Campaign for Infinity, and Australian shit from R.I.P. Society. So kewl.

Flight! S/T 10″ OUT NOW!!!! 0

So the Flight S/T 10″ EP is here and is in the store. You can get it by clicking on the album cover below:

GD25OBH.pdf

Mississippi’s one-man band Flight is back with his second ever release, a self-titled 10″ EP on Kill Shaman. A perfect medley of 70’s glam, 80’s punk and 60’s psych, Flight applies a fist-pumping lo-fi pop sensibility that is over-distorted, punchy, and punk as fuck. Contains four distinct tracks that completely distinct and kills the inner ear. With the volume turned up to the max, this blown-out and distorted piece of wax will be sure to please any fans of Live Fast Die, Cheap Time, Jesus and Mary Chain and anything else that shreds while maintaining a deeply seeded sense of pop-punk. Think of it as the perfect medium for early 90’s fuzz-gaze and 70’s glam punk.

Tracks:
1. Over My Head
2. My Business
3. Unpredictable
4. Molly, Don’t Fade

Yikes! Back in…. 0

Just to let you know, the Yikes! LP version of “Whoa Comas/Blood Bomb” is back in stock. These are the absolute VERY LAST copies of this awesome LP from out friends at Labil.org. This LP was ripped out onto 8-track tape by John Dwyer of Oh Sees, Coachwhips, Pink and Brown, and Mike Donavan of Sic Alps. It’s a perfectly distorted mix somewhere between the Coachwhips and Pink and Brown. Plus, if you want to hear the ORIGINAL version of the Oh Sees track “Carol Ann”, it’s on here. Kill Shaman also put out the CD version if you are so inclined to choose that medium of listening.

Also added to the distro store is the Hostages of Ayatollah “AntHOAlogy” 2Xlp + DVD + MP3 download. Amazing anthology record from these awesome German hardcore punk legends. Includes 36 songs, a DVD and a coupon to download MP3s of the whole album. Killer record from our friends are X-Mist.

In other new, Flight should be here shortly. A lot of you have emailed me about pre-orders… to be honest, I’m not a fan. I’m all about free-market capitalism, so I want to make sure that everyone has an equal opportunity to get a copy. Therefore, if you want to be notified when records are released, sign up for the newsletter at the left. I’ll be notifying those of you that sign up one day in advance of the release. So there.

Also, just sent off a new split LP between Italy’s Hiroshima Rocks Around and LA,CA,USA’s Bipolar Bear. Look for that in about 6 weeks. It’s a real ripper with both bands really busting out their best licks. Highly recommended.
